Dyvona Nunley is a dedicated mother of four sons…she’s a daughter, a sister, a friend….a phenomenal woman of God. She is passionate about serving the Lord and often expresses it through music. With the voice of an angel, Dyvona encourages numerous individuals through her gift. Her obvious close relationship with the Creator is shown through the life she lives and her dedication to ministering to souls.
Dyvona, born June 15, 1969, in French Camp, California moved to Sacramento, California in 1970. At an early age Dyvona felt a strong desire to follow Christ. She began singing at the tender age of seven and at nine accepted Christ into her life and joined the Jr. Choir at Mt. Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church. Currently, Dyvona attends Jubilee Training Center under the leadership of Dr. Jerome McGee Sr. and 1st Lady Donna McGee where she serves as the Praise and Worship Leader.
Ministering through music is just one of many gifts Dyvona encompasses. She is a song writer, teacher, mentor, exhorter and a prayer warrior who has dedicated her life to spreading the Gospel. In addition to her spiritual gifts she has been a Choir President, Choir Director, and Bible Study Teacher. Dyvona has a heart for inspiring other women to discover their purpose and gifts in the Body of Christ as well. In 2010, she founded True Sister’s Ministries (TSM). TSM’s mission is to embrace love, minister to,
and uplift women and to teach them how to live out biblical principles according to the word of God in Titus 2:3-5. Her humble spirit and sweet nature not only makes Dyvona divine but a rare treasure to all who know her.
Dyvona’s favorite scripture is Proverbs 3:5, 6 - “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.” (NIV) This scripture inspires her because through her life’s experiences she has learned to do just that…”trust in the Lord”. Her ears are sensitive to the Holy Spirit, and she trusts what the Holy Spirit speaks. In trusting, God is acknowledged as being God. “As the Holy Spirit leads and I am obedient to Him, success follows”.
Dyvona continues to be on fire and eager to go to the next level in Christ Jesus. Amen!!
